Vin Alto in Clevedon, just south of Auckland, is the realisation of a dream for Enzo Bettio and his family, combining vineyards and olive groves with a deer farm and an Italian inspired hospitality operation.
The boutique winery is dedicated to the production of Italian style wines, combining old world charm with new world flair. Varieties produced include Pinot Grigio, various blends of Montepulciano, Barbera and Merlot as well as Amarone and Ripasso style wines.
In New Zealand, Enzo has been at the forefront of the introduction of Italian grape varieties and it is good to see that Vin Alto is not alone anymore.
